Prompting an app
You can start a new app without any code. You describe it in a few sentences, and your AI draws the screens onto your board.
- Click User journeys in the left bar, then New journey.
- Type a name, for example "New customer books a first lesson".
- Write a Base prompt: who the user is, where they start, what they want to get done, and which screens you expect.
- Click Create empty board.
- Open your AI, start a new chat and send this, with your project name:
Do my Grafaris comments on My Project.
Grafaris counts your base prompt as a comment on the board. That is why this sentence works. Your AI reads it and puts the screens on the board.
An empty board also shows a box to describe the journey. Type into it and click Send. Grafaris saves your text as a comment, and your AI picks it up the same way.
Three tips
- Name the person. "A busy parent" gives better screens than "a user".
- Say where it starts and where it ends, for example "from the home page to the booking confirmation".
- Describe one path per journey. Make a second journey for the next path.
Example prompts
You can also skip the steps above and send one of these straight to your AI. Your AI then makes the journey itself. Change the details first:
Design a journey on my Grafaris project My Project: a yoga teacher signs up, sets her weekly class times and shares a booking link. Start on the landing page, end on the page with the link. Phone and desktop.
On my Grafaris project My Project, design the checkout of a small online plant shop: cart, delivery address, payment, thank-you page. Keep it calm and simple.
Make a new journey on my Grafaris project My Project where a returning customer reorders last week's order in three taps.
Don't like a screen? Leave a comment on it and say what should change. The page "Comments" shows how.
